In the international world of logistics, hundreds of emails arrive daily with shipping and customs documents. For employees, this means checking, linking and archiving; a time-consuming and error-prone task that often causes delays in, for example, the release of shipments.
At a client organization, we built a digital assistant that continuously monitors the inbox, opens incoming emails, and automatically recognizes important documents such as invoices, packing lists, and delivery notes. Using advanced AI and document recognition (OCR), documents are immediately renamed, stored in the correct folder, and linked to the corresponding order in the ERP system, all without human intervention.
The result? Processing time is reduced by as much as 90%, documents are archived flawlessly and are always traceable. This automation not only leads to significant time savings but also provides a more reliable and faster handling of shipments. A smart solution for every logistics challenge!
