Ambition for more digital assistants

The ambition of the SED organization is to deploy more digital assistants to improve service delivery while relieving employees of administrative tasks. Dietwin Bruin, project manager at the Strategy and Innovation department, says: "It is great that people can focus on more complex and challenging work while leaving administrative tasks to digital assistants. This makes the work more enjoyable for people. At the same time, the SED organization can handle large volumes of requests quickly and reliably. This improves our service to residents and businesses."

Organization-wide RPA program

After completing two successful pilots in the fields of Taxation and Social Affairs, management has initiated an organization-wide implementation of RPA. The SED organization has set up an ambitious program and aims to deliver one digital assistant per month in the coming period.

Robotization as a Solution for Labor Shortages

Lindy Waldeck, RPA Product Owner and responsible for the execution of the program, sees robotization as a welcome addition to processing capacity during times of labor shortages and outflow due to aging:

"With a team of employees who are trained and coached by MvR Digital Workforce, the SED organization can become entirely independent within 1 to 2 years and grow into its own RPA expertise center. With all the new tasks coming to municipalities, we can then set up new processes much faster. The feedback from employees working with the digital assistant is positive. Through an agile approach, they are involved in creating and managing the digital assistant. It is also nice to see that they are immediately thinking about further optimizing the work processes and tasks that a digital assistant can perform."
